Bookmark sync across separate browser profiles and accounts
Keep chosen bookmark folders identical across separate Chrome and Edge profiles. Folder names are preserved, deletions stick, and nothing else leaves the profile.
The problem it solves
A browser profile is a sealed container. Chrome syncs a profile's bookmarks to the Google account signed into that profile, and Edge syncs to a Microsoft account — but neither browser has any concept of sharing between two of your own profiles. Bookmark a client's staging URL in the work profile and it simply does not exist in the personal one.
Most people work around this by emailing links to themselves, duplicating a folder by hand, or giving up and keeping one enormous profile. Braid Sync removes the workaround.
How the syncing behaves
- Folder-level selection. You mark the folders that should be shared. Everything outside them is ignored entirely.
- Names are preserved. A folder called “Client — Q3 launch” arrives with that name intact, in the same position in the tree, rather than as a flat dump.
- Two-way merge. Add a bookmark in any participating profile and it appears in the others on the next sync.
- Deletions propagate. Removing an item records the removal, so it does not reappear from another profile's copy.
- Duplicates are collapsed. The same URL saved in two profiles under the same shared folder resolves to one entry.

Setting it up
- Install Braid Sync in each profile that should participate.
- Sign the extension into the same Braid Sync licence in each profile.
- Mark the bookmark folders you want shared in each profile.
- Click Sync now once. After that, syncing runs weekly in the background, and on demand whenever you click it.

Limitations worth knowing
- Bookmarks are matched by URL, so two entries pointing at the same page merge.
- Syncing is scheduled weekly by default rather than instant; use Sync now for immediate propagation.
- Mobile browsers are out of scope — this is a desktop Chrome and Edge extension.
