Edge has the same boundary as Chrome
Edge profiles are tied to Microsoft accounts, and many organisations add a work or school account on top. Edge sync mirrors favourites, collections and settings within one account across devices — and stops there. A favourite saved in a work Edge profile is invisible in a personal Edge profile on the same laptop.
Because Edge is Chromium-based, Braid Sync installs from the Microsoft Edge Add-ons listing and behaves the same way it does in Chrome.
Chrome and Edge in one setup
Plenty of people are not in one browser: Edge for a corporate environment, Chrome for everything else. Braid Sync treats a Chrome profile and an Edge profile as two participants in the same shared set, so a folder of internal tools can exist in both.

Terminology note
Edge calls them favourites and Chrome calls them bookmarks; underneath they are the same Chromium structure. Braid Sync uses “bookmarks” throughout, and the folder names you gave them are preserved regardless of browser. The glossary covers the rest of the vocabulary.
Managed and work accounts
If your Edge profile is managed by an employer, extension installation may be controlled by policy. Braid Sync cannot bypass that, and should not — ask whoever administers the device to allow the extension, or use it in the profiles you do control.
