Feature
Cross-device sync without merging your profiles
Sync the same selected bookmarks and tab groups to matching profiles on a second laptop or desktop, without merging work and personal browsing.
Two machines, the same working set
Native sync already carries a profile between your own devices when the same account is signed in. Braid Sync matters on a second machine for the same reason it matters on the first: the moment more than one profile is involved, the browser stops helping.
Install the extension in the profiles you use on each machine and the selected folders and tab groups converge across all of them — laptop work profile, desktop work profile, and the personal profile that shares one research folder with both.
Machines that are not yours to sign into
On a client-owned or shared computer, signing a browser profile into your personal Google account is often the wrong move. Braid Sync gives you the bookmarks and groups you need there without bringing passwords, history or sessions along, and removing the extension removes the access.
Timing
- Background syncing runs weekly.
- Sync now pushes and pulls immediately — useful before switching machines.
- A device that has been offline catches up on its next sync; nothing is lost in the gap.
Licensing across devices
The $20 purchase covers up to five accounts, and those accounts can be spread across as many machines as you use. Full detail is on the pricing page.

Sync bookmarks across devices
Getting the same bookmarks on a laptop and a desktop is easy. Getting them there without merging your work and personal profiles is the part people get wrong.
Bookmark sync
Keep chosen bookmark folders identical across separate Chrome and Edge profiles. Folder names are preserved, deletions stick, and nothing else leaves the profile.
Security & data
What leaves your browser (titles and URLs you selected), what never does (cookies, passwords, page content, history) and how the sync registry is protected.
